Lorsqu'on
propose à Hervé un poste
aux Bermudes en 2002, ce dernier n'a qu'une envie : participer à
la seule course océanique en solitaire de la côte Est de
l'Amérique du Nord. Mais à bord de quel bateau, sachant
qu’il faut au moins un bateau de 28 pieds ? Un POGO
bien sûr! Pas celui de la Mini mais son grand frère, plus
grand de 2 mètres et plus habitable pour toute la famille le
reste de l’année.
Le départ de la Bermuda 1-2 aura lieu le 7 juin de Newport pour
les Bermudes et le retour se fera en course et en double le 20 juin
avec sa femme Muriel comme co-skipper.

Hervé a décidé de renouveler son expérience
qu’il avait menée avec Children Action lors de la
Transat 6.50 en s’associant avec une fondation oeuvrant pour
des enfants. C’est ainsi que son POGO portera les couleurs de
Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Bermuda

Hervé
et Muriel sont effectivement arrivés à Newport
après une traversée de 4 jours 23 heures et
30 minutes! D'ici mercredi prochain, Muriel vous racontera
la traversée en tant qu'équipière sur
le Pogo 8.50. Avec bien sûr, des photos!

After
3 days of fast sailing, including spending an extra long time
in the gulf stream, Hervé
and Muriel are now just outside Naragansett Bay and should finish
sometime on Wednesday. For the full story,

When
his employer proposed to him a job in Bermuda, Hervé
knew immediately that he would do the only solo race in north America,
East Coast. But on which boat as she had to be at least 28 feet? A POGO
of course, but not the one from the last mini-Transat but her big sister,
2 meters longer and more confortable for the family during the rest
of the year.
The
start of the Bermuda 1-2 will be given the 7th of June in Newport. The
return trip on the 20th of June will be double-handed with his wife
Muriel as co-skipper. Click

Hervé
has decided to renew the successful experience he carried on with Children
Action during the Transat 6.50.
