22.5.2001: Upwind beat!
The
competitors of the Mini-Pavois will spend the night tacking near
the south coast of England. It is becoming very close and it appears
that two options have been taken, a group of skippers having chosen
to stay near the coast.
Because of the North-East wind, the first boats will reach Portsmouth
only on Wednesday afternoon.
We do not know wich option Hervé chose, neither being very
good. However, he remains in a good position being ranked 9th
today.
The thought of a good rest before the start of the second leg
(Portsmouth-St Quay Portrieux) this Friday is fading quickly.
This is what Hervé and the others competitors must think
as they fight off the waves and currents.
