D
day -50 The start is approaching, it's preparation time.
Children
Action is still based in Portsmouth. Hervé will
definitely leave the UK on the 25th August (he has lived
there for the last 3 years) and will sail to the start
in La Rochelle.
The
schedule is really busy. Letters, repairs and orders
of new material, preparation of the articles which will
appear on the website during the race, meetings with
journalists. There has been also a sticker phase! You
can have a look at the results!
We
also learned that the christener of the Transat 6.50
will be Ellen MacArthur. We were really pleased with
this news because Ellen came to share some pasta in
our house (with olive oil and parmesan, of course!)
the evening when Hervé officially qualified for
the Mini-Transat...
Each
week-end, the family sails on Children Action. We also
walk along pontoons to see some magnificent Open 60
(and in particular Ellen's Kingfisher).
At
the Sea
Sail Surf trophy (the equivalent of the ATP ranking
in tennis) Hervé is ranked 11th.
